E – Ensemble Caprice

“iLove Baroque”
March 17 at 5:00
UWM – Zelazo Center (2419 E Kenwood Blvd)
Preceded at 3:00 by our annual Silent Auction and Chocolate Reception

The ensemble has established itself as an immensely thoughtful and progressive force on the musical scene. – New York Times

Canada’s Ensemble Caprice can always be relied upon for a fresh and engaging approach to music of the Baroque. iLove Baroque combines recorder duo, cello, guitar, and percussion to weave together eight short stories with music covering two centuries and five countries, by Bach, Falconiero, Schmelzer, and Vivaldi.   It demonstrates the drama, tenderness, joy, humor, and melancholy of the music that make us all love Baroque.  The approximate program length is 2 hours, including a 30-minute intermission at which final bids for the auction can be made.  Parking is available in the metered lot behind the building, the paid Union lot across Kenwood, or on the street.  This venue is also very near the Gold, Red, and 30/30X bus lines.

This concert is sponsored by Donald & Mary Stacy, and Co-Sponsored by Northern Trust
